J D Emmanuel
Renard Cohen

In the Spring of 1981, Renard Cohen was introduced to me by a mutual friend, Mary Jane Valdez, who thought our musical interests might work well together to create electronic trance music. It worked. We enjoyed playing music together very much. We only got to work together for about six months, including presenting one concert in Austin, Texas. During that time we were able to produce some interesting music that you may enjoy.

Here are pictures of Renard and J D at their Austin Concert, September, 1981.

Renard used a Fender Rhodes Piano and a Sequential Circuits Pro-One.

J D used a Yamaha SK-20 and 2-Sequential Circuits Pro-Ones. This was recorded directly to a Teac A-7300
2-track using the 2nd track for the digital delay with variable pitch control for the delay timing.
